Sorry for the crappy picture of the pair…that’s what I get for waiting until sundown to take a picture.

Here is a close up of the heel, the way it’s supposed to look:

Now just to wash & block them and they are all ready to be sent off in August. Now to figure out what else to put in the package. What are y’all sending with your sockapalooza packages?

I’m trying to get my LYS to buy little bottles of the kind of wool wash that smells really good and that you don’t have to rinse out. Chocolate is normally good too, except I know my pal is diabetic. So, instead, they have these little tiny socks on little tiny sock needles that are pins - I might get her one of those.

Those are cute! I’ve been thinking about using that pattern.
And as my sockapalooza package, I haven’t decided what else I’ll put in there. Definitely a postcard, but maybe some good nibbly thing?

Cute socks! I usually add a bar of soap made by one of my knitting friends who has a lavender farm. (yum!)

Those look great!
I’m sending a little hardcover journal for knit notes, a keychain, and some stitch markers. Sweet treats are usually good, but I’m scared to mail chocolate in August!

Oh, those are so pretty
I don’t have much for ideas for little things to put in the package, except, maybe browse etsy, there’s always loads of cute knitting related things there.

Those are gorgeous!Stitch markers make a pretty good treat.Yarn is always welcome.I wouldn’t recommend chocolate in August either. Wool wash is a good treat as well.I sure hope I’m your partner.I love those socks!

Those are very pretty socks.
Mostly, I’m hoping to get a completed pair of socks in the package! LOL! Seriously, tho. I am thinking of some local tasty treats, postcards and if I have time to attempt some stitch markers and they turn out ok, then a set of those too. Maybe some locally spun yarn if I can find some.

Hey Heather! I had no idea that you read my blog. =) I’m glad to see that you’ve continued with your knitting. The socks are so beautiful! I don’t usually go for varigated, but those look sooo nice. I love how the pattern and the colors worked together. I’m having so much trouble with the STR I’m trying to use for my pal. You’re way ahead of me!
In my package I’ll be sending chocolate (which has always reached my family fine, even in hot weather), gummies, and maybe some baby booties from left-over sock yarn from her socks, because she just found that that she’s pregnant.
