I finished the Easy Cardigan this afternoon. I was hoping to give it to my co-worker this evening, but I was unable to get up there today. Oh well. It is done. I did finish it quite quickly. Two days, start to finish. Instead of the crocheted ties, I did little i-cords because I’m kind addicted to i-cords…

And being modeled by Curious George…the closest thing we have to a doll in this house now that my girls are teenagers. Ds thought it was the funniest thing ever.

I also finished the ballband dishcloth. I didn’t do as many repeats as the pattern stated because it’s already a bit wider than I like. I like my dishcloths to fit in my hand & not be the size of small dishtowels. I put a single crochet border around the edges just to finish it off a bit.

And as if that weren’t enough FO’s for this (hot muggy stormy) Friday, I also cast on & finished an Adjustable Baby Hat. This is for the same co-worker as the sweater above. I think that’s a record even for me…three FOs in one day. Three projects in three days!

Now I am going to turn off my computer before I get zapped by lightening…

I got it!!! Finally my Borders has stocked the new Yarn Harlot book:

Whoo hoo!! We took the kids shopping to spend their Easter money and of course we had to make a stop at the bookstore ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m so glad I let them drag me out (kicking & screaming) to the mall.

While we were out, there was this strange yellow orb in the sky. I think it may have been the sun, but it’s been so long since the sun shown it’s face around here…I’m not sure. What do you think? Is this the elusive sun?

While we were out & about I did a tiny bit more shopping for my Knitters Treat Exchange partner ๐Ÿ™‚

Did everyone see the Yarn Harlot on Knitty Gritty yesterday? It was fantabulous! AND I learned what I was doing wrong with my SSKs!

I’ve cast on for mom’s socks. I think I will give them to her for Mother’s Day ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m using Toe-Up Chevron Socks. I’m modifying it slightly so I can do it on one circ instead of dpns. I’m making them with the yarn I got when I hit the motherload Moda Dea Sassy Stripes in Crayon. This color is a bit more vibrant than the skeins that I used for my socks. I think she’ll like them ๐Ÿ™‚

I hope to have the third Booga bag finished knitting tonight. Hopefully the i-cord too so I can felt it then set it up to dry overnight. If I go very fast it will be done…

I think Mother Nature is playing a late (and very cruel) April Fool’s Joke. We have SNOW. My poor snow drops & crocuses are covered in the white stuff.

Wicked sense of humor, that Mother Nature.

I finished the ribbed Patons Soy Wool Stripes scarf.

And just in the knick of time. I was literally binding off in the middle of a snow storm while waiting for my boys to get out of school. Mother nature couldn’t have waited FIVE minutes!

CO 39 stitches (or multiple of 3)
Row 1: (K3, P3) repeat to the end
Row 2: (P3, K3) repeat to the end

Repeat rows 1 & 2 until scarf is to desired length. Bind off in pattern.

I used 3 skeins of Patons SWS “Natural Gardenia” and US size 10.5 needles. My scarf is 72″ long. Perfect!
